Sunday was a very emotional day at Church! at bethany as Brian and Jenni Clayville shared a part of their story. You can listen to the message and their testimony here.
Their story–like everyone of ours–is full of sin and the consequences of it. As I said in the message, sin is not a breaking of the rules but a marring of our relationship with God. The journey back to God involves repentance (not just feeling sorry, but a change of direction) and confession. On Sunday we got to see both.
A few have asked so I wanted to make a public statement. Jenni is still our worship pastor because (1) the affair ended two years ago (2) she came to me and told me the truth (instead of me finding out about it from others), (3) she was repentant and (4) she agreed to go through counseling. Their story wasn’t told publicly until Sunday because they needed time to work through things with the help of their counselors.
I LOVE Brian and Jenni and feel that we are BLESSED to have them at Church! at bethany. They are still in the midst of healing and they need our love, support and prayers. God is already using their story to connect others to Him.

We love being a part of Church at Bethany. Thank you for your grace and support… Brian and I are better because of it.
